売開始いたしました。

このたび株式会社アイメックス（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：草薙麻美）は、オーストラリアのプレミアムワイン「レイクブリーズ」ワイン4種を輸入、販売開始いたしました。

＜レイクブリーズワイナリーについて＞

レイクブリーズは、南オーストラリア州・ラングホーン・クリークで秀逸なワインを生産する家族経営（ブティック）ワイナリーです。ラングホーン・クリークで成功を収めたフォレット家のワイン生産の歴史は、現在のワインメーカーであるグレッグ・フォレットの曽祖父にあたるアーサー・ジョン・フォレットが、約120年前にこの地を手に入れ、葡萄畑を切り開いた時代まで遡ります。その後代々受け継がれた葡萄栽培は、1987年「レイクブリーズ」の誕生に繋がります。

ワイナリーはブレーマー川岸に位置し、堂々とそびえるユーカリに囲まれており、80エーカーの葡萄畑を見下ろす場所にあります。1991年にはセラードアがオープンし、フォレット家の３兄弟、グレッグ、ロジャー、ティムを中心に一貫した管理の結果、今日のレイクブリーズワインの成功があります。

90ヘクタールの自家葡萄畑にあるオールドヴァインの樹から収穫される果実のうち、選別された上質の20パーセント、わずか200トンの果汁のみをワイン生産に用い、素晴しく奥深い味わいの秀逸なワインが生み出されています。またそれらの葡萄は、樹齢35年から40年の樹から取れるものから慎重に選別しています。

乾燥した夏場の数ヶ月間、平均14日間しか雨が降らない当地では、冬場にマウントロフティー山脈の降雨によって引き起こるブレーマー川の洪水が、良質な葡萄栽培とは切り離せないものになっています。ワイナリーではこの自然の現象を利用して、畑に引かれた水により高水準の肥沃物を土に残すばかりでなく、堆積したシルト質の土壌は優れた保水能力があり、夏の数ヶ月に水を補充することなく葡萄を栽培することが出来るのです。

1994年以降、20個のトロフィーと、62個の金賞を数々のワインコンクールにおいて受賞しており、「最も多くのアワードを獲得しているブティックワイナリー」、「チャンピオン・スモール・ワイナリー」と賞賛されています。
