平成21年5月27日から31日に渡り、東京、大阪、名古屋、福岡の4都市
で、オーストラリア留学フェア2009 （主催：オーストラリア大使館・領事館）を開催します。第6回の今年は、オーストラリア留学フェア初の試みとして、日豪の架け橋となる若者を対象に、オーストラリア夢コンテストを開催することが決定しました。

本コンテストでは、実際にオーストラリア留学を計画している方や準備を進めている方を対象として、オーストラリアへの夢や想いに関する作文を募集し、入賞者にはオーストラリアの大学への短期留学をプレゼントいたします。

オーストラリア留学フェア参加者の傾向は、1年以上の長期留学を目指す20代前半から30代の社会人女性が多いが、本コンテスト入賞者に授与される短期留学は、実際に長期留学への夢を抱きながらも、現実的に長期留学が難しい会社員にも、短期間で気軽にオーストラリアの大学での留学を体験してもらえる内容に構成しています。

オーストラリア夢コンテストの概要は以下の通り。

■ 応募方法：　オーストラリア留学フェア2009ホームページ内　の所定のフォームから、オーストラリアに関する夢や想いを1000文字程度にまとめて応募してください。
■ 応募資格：　日本在住で日本国籍を持ち、1週間以上のオーストラリア留学を希望する18歳以上の方で、今回のコンテストに入賞した場合、2009年12月末までに出発ができる方。
■ 応募締め切り：　平成21年5月20日(水)
■　賞品：　最優秀作品： 1名
　　　　　　カンタス航空往復航空券（成田-シドニー便 / エコノミークラス）
　　　　　　西シドニー大学（University of Western Sydney）　への短期留学
　　　　　　-付属英語学校で1週間または2週間集中英語コースを受講
　　　　　　-大学の学部課程の授業を聴講
■入賞作品：　最優秀作品は、オーストラリア留学フェア2009ホームページ、および、カンタス航空ホームページ他、関係企業のホームページにて掲載・紹介いたします。
